The New Hope Housing Ennis development at 1946 Ennis will provide 102 affordable, permanent apartment homes for individuals aged 55 and older who make between 30% and 60% of the area median income. In addition to affordable housing, residents will have access to services related to healthcare, financial wellness, continuing education, community connection and more. A partnership with METRO makes it possible for all residents to receive free transportation services.
The $31.0 million project is being developed by New Hope Housing with $16 million in housing tax credits and $9 million in ARPA funds through Harris County Housing and Community Development Department. The Harris County Housing Finance Corporation is the general partner and owns the land, which will keep the community affordable for 99 years.
